Piled slabs are structural concrete floors cast over closely spaced piles, used when ground conditions are weak, compressible, or unstable for ground-supported slabs. They transfer loadings to deeper, firmer soil layers, eliminating issues with settlement, often in industrial, commercial, or residential developments. Also typically used for water tank bases, piled machinery bases and various other infrastructure projects.
Piled slabs are also commonly used to assist with tree protection issues on sites and as a no dig approach.
