Mini Piling due to tree roots
It has recently become increasingly common to use mini piles to avoid damage to tree roots.
Piles can be used in conjunction with a reinforced concrete beam/slab which reduces the depth of required excavation into the ground therefore further minimising potential damage to the tree roots.
We carry lightweight piling equipment which includes mini piling rigs that allows us to meet the requirments for the project.

Our mini piling equipment enables us to work on house extensions in awkward areas and locations meaning we can undertake even the most difficult and complex of extension projects. Whilst we use specialist piling equipment it can still be a cost effective solution should ground conditions be unfavorable to undertake a traditional strip footing.

Optima have completed countless jobs for us over the years and are happy to provide technical insight at the design stage. A full detailed design and calculations package makes the process much smoother than having to obtain calculations from an external engineer once piles have been installed.
