A restricted access site between two existing properties required mini-piled foundations to prevent undermining of the neighbouring properties by means of deep excavated trenches. Clay ground conditions required an augered mini pile solutions using a small lightweight piling rig.
Due to a tree preservation order, deep excavations were not permitted for the above development and therefore a piled reinforced concrete slab was constructed. This minimised the potential damage to the tree roots and kept the excavations into the ground within the allowed depths.
A challenging site which clients wanted to construct a property on a steep slope. Driven piles were installed using a small rig, which could access the restricted areas. Reinforced concrete ground beams were constructed however ‘steps’ in the beams were required to follow the slope of the ground.
